1. Skill Check #1 (MS Windows)
I just completed grading of your skill check #1. Check it out! I'm so pleased to see most of you successfully completed the first skill check! Good job!
2. Twitter
I think that most of you sincerely tweet out two per week. Yes, keep going. Remember, at the end of Twitter activity period, you will be asked to submit "your Tweet logs" to me. It means that I can see how sincere you have tweeted two per week as required. I already told you that you are allowed to tweet during our class. Feel free to tweet out in live while you are learning in class. In addition, what kinds of educational-related Twitter accounts (government, association, news, magazine, guru, etc.) are you following? Remember you need to find and follow at least 4 of them as requirement.
3. Blog Post #2
I am so much pleased to see how much you tried to best reflect your experiences about copyright issue, cyberbullying, etc. in your BP#2. I've read all of your posts and all are great! Great job!
A few thoughts -- While reading Christina's post, I think about how many of you actually use "adblock' for your computer, web browser, etc. I use Chrome and I installed Adblock Plus on it. Do you guys use it as well? It's a very useful tool for everyone. In addition, I'd like to suggest all of you visit Josh's blog. He got a lot of traffics and comments for his BP#2 and I found that he also used "in-text citation" in the text -- Great job!
4. Featured Student in Week3: Jordyn "The Edgy Educator" Rizzo
In Week3, we had a chance to meet Jordyn as a featured student online. If you've not seen this blog post. Check this out.
5. Checklist for Week4
Week4 is a very important week. So please check this checklist before you come to class.
- Reading Chapter 3: Read this!
- Reading the ELA Technology Standard (PDF) in Blackboard: Please read this before class. We will use this reference for the GICA!
- Skill Check #2 (MS Word: Newsletter + Mail Merge) Prep: As I said, you are allowed to use the reference sheet, but a 20min-limit is still a challenge. So please review it and practice it!
